A Charity Invitational Golf Event That Delivers a Premier Experience
On July 12th, more than 150 golfers and sponsors convened for the 2010 Realities Cup Invitational Golf Tournament. Hosted by Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, the Realities Cup raised over $26,000 for the Realities For Children Emergency Fund, which provides services and assistance to abused and neglected children in Larimer County, when all other resources have been exhausted.
Realities Cup participants played in a scramble format and partook in multiple golf games on the signature Jack Nicklaus course at Ptarmigan Country Club. Craig Bendixen drew the “golden tee” to shoot for One Million Dollars. Even though he did not make the hole-in-one, he did receive the Realities Cup Million Dollar Trophy! And each team selected one person to swing for $50,000, while all participants had the opportunity to win a Thunder Mountain Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a $500 Visa gift card, golf clubs and a Bose sound system for sinking a hole-in-one on multiple par 3 holes.
Todd Harding, of K99’s Good Morning Guys, acted as the Master or Ceremonies at the Realities Cup Banquet in the Ptarmigan Country Clubhouse, where attendees and guests were treated to a fanfare of international foods, desserts, libations, a silent auction of sports memorabilia from local collegiate as well as professional sports teams and thousands of dollars in prize drawings. The evening concluded with the presentation of the Realities Cup to the tournament champions.
This year, $1,000 in gift certificates to the Ptarmigan Pro Shop were awarded to the top four placing Realities Cup teams: 4th place posting a 57: Citizen Printing – Dave Aske, Geoff Bauer, Steve Chunko and Jeff Roesch, 3rd Place posting a 57 also broken by a scorecard playoff: Patterson Team – Steve Nesbitt, Alan Patterson, David Seufer and Lonnie Seufer, 2nd place Fry Team posting a 57: David Fry, Bill Gaume, John Paugh and Jason Preeo and the 2010 Champions were Eclipse Energy, LLC posting a 52: Chris Schwartz, Dan Schwartz, Steve Stoltz and Brandon Tompkins. The 2010 winning Women’s Division went to Comcast Spotlight, consisting of: Kathleen George, Cheri McLaughlin, Michelle Rahm and Jennifer Trimble.
